Burn Files

The purpose of this operation is to burn any set of necessary group of files to a compact disk, or to a standard ISO image file wich can be used for futher compact disk duplication.

The main window of this program contains a toolbar, the files browser, a project editor, a sizebar and a statusbar. The project editor window occupies lower half of the main program window. The relative positions of the files browser window and of the project editor window can be changed via the View submenu in the main program menu.

At first it is necessary to prepare the project for burning a new compact disk or an image creation. For this purpose files have to be added to the project editor in any convenient way. The files can be dragged from file browser window or any desktop folder. The file browser context menu item Add into the project, or the toolbar button can also be used.

Both separate files and files whith folders can be added into a project.

Unnecessary files can be deleted from project dropping them into the shredder, or by using context menu of project editor, or the toolbar button.

Also new folder can be created in project and any file can be renamed, use context menu of project editor, hot keys or a toolbar.

Current disk label is shown at the root of the project tree. Use the project editor context menu or the hot key to change this label. You also can change all labels of a compact disk.

If you want to burn a bootable compact disk or to create of an ISO image of such disk you can change boot settings.

The list of files can be sorted in the desired order via the files browser context menus and the project editor.

Warning: All actions over the files and folders in the project don't affect the files on hard drive.

The current size of the project is calculated while adding files and is displayed in the sizebar. Detailed information is displayed in the statusbar. Here it is also possible to set the compact disk and filesystem types.

After completion of the project preparation, the project can be burned to a compact disk, or the disk image can be created and saved as a file.
