To use new harddrive you should create new volume. Sometimes eCS / OS/2 LVM tools can't do this. Here is the method:

SEDIT Method

ATTENTION! Backup your data before starting this dangerous utility!

sedit - GammaTech Sector Editor (GammaTech pack of utils). Download

• What disk to edit? If USB HDD is the second drive in the system ( 2: ), then you are going edit Disk N2
• sedit

  select 2:

• Alt-D - Unformatted sector, check that current sector: Sector 00000
• Alt-E - Switch to edit mode! dangerous!!
• Fill the sector with "0" - all visible characters on the screen.
• the last 4 characters should be: 55AA (the last two bytes should be: 0x55 0xAA)
• It would be nice to run lvm /newmbr:2
  but it doesn't work
• MiniLVM - remove the volume Now you can create the volumes without problems
• Use Windows to format the disk to FAT32
• Notes: If your 1Tb disk is visible as 500 Mb, then eject it and attach again.
